Nail art: Flowers and rhinestones (video)

This week’s nail art was based on the headband I usually wear when I’m doing makeup on myself, to keep my hair away from my face. While editing a tutorial, I noticed that it’s actually rather pretty, so that’s why I’m making a nail art of it!

Green seemed to be the most logical background colour for this nail art. I used the nail polish ‘Tenacious Teal’ by Maybelline, a pretty nail polish that is unfortunately a bit too thin. However, it does dry quickly and also covers in two layers.

To make the background a little bit more interesting, I added Sally Hansen’s Crystal Beading to the tips of the nails.

The headband actually has metal wires for flower petals, but I suddenly decided to do something that I haven’t done very often before; one stroke nail art! So I used that method to make the flower petals. In the centre of each flower, I added a rhinestone, and then I added some topcoat to finish off this nail art!
