This week (and the upcoming few weeks also), I have a bunch of nail art reviews for you! Once again, I received some very cool items from Born Pretty Store, and today I’ll be showing you a set of nail wraps. I’d never used nail wraps before, actually, but these ones looked so awesome on the website, that I just had to choose them!
The nail wraps are based on the famous painting ‘The Starry Night’ by Vincent van Gogh. And they indeed look like it, the image is very easy to recognise! These can be found here, at Born Pretty Store. On the right, you can find a coupon code for 10% off at an order there, if you’re interested 🙂
Nail wraps can be applied on the bare nail, if you’re in a hurry. But seeing as I want them to stay pretty for as long as possible, I applied a base coat first. Then I also applied one single layer of Essie’s Vanity Fairest to protect my nails. The thicker the layer of nail polish is, the less chance anything can damage my nails 😉
Then on to the nail wraps! First off, I think they look really awesome with that print of Starry Night on them. And they’re also glittery, which is something I always like 🙂
On the back of the package, there are simple instructions of how apply nail wraps properly. Which is good, because I had never done that before.
Applying the nail wraps is very easy! I really had expected it to be more difficult, because I know myself. So I was scared that I’d manage to wrinkle or tear them… But these nail wraps are very sturdy and flexible, and they pretty much make themselves lay on the nails properly! You can also cut them and only use them on part of the nail (I just wanted to try that, and it worked 😉 ).
Another nice thing is, that a nail wrap doesn’t require time to dry. I read on the Born Pretty Store website that it’s recommended to use top coat over the wraps, so that’s what I did. The final effect looks stunning, or at least I think so. It doesn’t look like stickers, it looks just like actual nail polish!
