Nail art: Autumn themed tape nails

This week, I wanted to do some tape nail art! And because it’s autumn, I chose to use some autumn colours for it 🙂

Tools used:

-Nail polish remover (clean-up)
-Flat nail art brush (clean-up)
-Sponge
-Striping tape
-Tweezers
-Large rhinestones

Nail polishes used:

-Essence Hardening nail base
-Essence – Love Is In The Air
-Essence – Electriiiiiic
-Essence – Flashy Pumpkin
-Essence – Redvolution
-Essence Better Than Gel Nails top coat

  1. Apply base coat
  2. Apply two layers of yellow on the nails that are going to get the tape nail art, and two layers of blue on all other nails
  3. Sponge an ombre of yellow, orange and red onto the yellow nails
  4. Wait for it to dry properly (otherwise the base colour will get damaged) before applying the nail art tape in whatever pattern you like
  5. Apply blue nail polish over the nails with the tape on them
  6. Wait for the blue nail polish to become only slightly tacky, then carefully pull off the striping tape using tweezers
  7. Apply a large rhinestone to the centre of each taped nail
  8. When the nails have fully dried (if they’re not, the lines might get dragged out), apply top coat
