This week, I have a nail art review for you of some Nicole Diary water decals! I love using water decals for a quick yet interesting manicure, and they sent me a bunch of really cool designs! So I’ll be showing you more of them in the next couple of weeks 😉
Nicole Diary products can be found here (Amazon)and here (Aliexpress). Also, they sent me this coupon code that will get you a small gift if you order with them (put the code in the order note). The code is: Sa2016
Today, I wanted to try some birds and leafs. The sun was shining, these water decals look cute and colourful, so that’s why 😛 Below, you can see how they perform in a video:
What I love about water decals, is how easy they are to use, while still giving a really nice look. These are no exception, as you could see in the video. The birds are, of course, the easiest. Just cut a bird from the paper and take off the protecting layer. Then leave it in water for about 30 seconds so the actual decal can be lifted off the paper. Put it onto the nail, move it to where it’s supposed to be and then dab it dry with a piece of tissue paper.
That’s pretty much it! Add a topcoat, and the manicure is done 🙂
For these specific water decals, I decided to do a green/white ombre, because it fits well with both the leafs and the birds.
In conclusion, I really like these! They show up well (the nail polish colour doesn’t shine through too much), and the overall quality is good.
The leaf design is beautiful and detailed, while the birds are seriously adorable. There’s so many different ones on a single sheet! And I’ll definitely use the owl on the bicycle in a different mani (it was next to the owl I used in this manicure), it’s so cute 🙂
