Nail art: Magical night

I had no idea what to call this nail art (as usual ๐Ÿ˜› ). So I almost ended up naming it exactly what it is; sparkly stars! Then I looked at my nails and it made me think of magic (because: glitter), and so I changed it into Magical night ๐Ÿ˜‰

It was mainly inspired by me wanting to use glitter, and also do a gradient since I finally have liquid nail art tape ๐Ÿ™‚ It really makes life (or at least doing this sort of manicures) a lot easier to simply pull off the mess around the cuticles, rather than to actually have to clean them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Tools/items used:

-Liquid nail art tape (from Beautyill)
-Detail brush
-Cleanup brush
-Fan brush
-Loose glitter (white)

Nail polishes used:

-Essence Hardening nail base
-A-England – Spirit of the Moors
-Rimmel Lycra – Blue Vogue
-Sinful Colors – Hottie
-Rituals nail gloss
-CK – French tip
-Essence Better Than Gel Nails top coat

  1. Apply base coat
  2. Add one layer of a shimmery paler blue nail polish
  3. Sponge on a gradient using dark blue-shimmery paler blue-dark blue. Use multiple thin layers to make the colours blend nicely together
  4. Sponge blue glitter nail polish on the accent nail (optional)
  5. Apply a thin top coat to make the surface smooth for easier painting
  6. Once the top coat is fully dry (this will reduce drying time at the end), paint the stars and a moon using a tiny detail brush and white nail polish or acrylic paint
  7. Apply another layer of top coat, and the nail art is done!
