Nail art: Summer heat (beginner’s attempt at water marbling!)

This week, I felt like doing a fun summer mani! Also, I’ve been practising at water marbling, and I think I’ve finally gotten to the point where I can film a beginner’s attempt at that without failing completely 😉

Tools/items used:

-Liquid nail art tape
-Cup of water
-Marbling tool
-Cotton buds
-Flat brush
-Bow tie

Nail polishes used:

-Essence Hardening nail base
-CK – French white
-Rituals – Nail Gloss
-China Glaze – Cranberry Splash
-Sinful Colors – Daredevil
-Sinful Colors – Let’s Meet
-Essence Better Than Gel Nails top coat

  1. Apply base coat
  2. Put two layers of white onto each nail
  3. Apply one coat of a bright pink shade onto the nails that aren’t going to be covered in water marble
  4. Use liquid nail art tape to cover the skin, then do the water marbling (just try until you find out which polishes work)
  5. Add a bow tie
  6. Finish it off with top coat
